Safety Village

Last Wednesday Landon went on his first study trip as a Kindergartener.  We went to Safety Village. This is a place that is sponsored I guess by the FWPD, they really educate the kids on how to be good pedestrians. How to properly cross the street and to make sure you ask for permission before going with someone you don't know, and basic overall safety types of issues.  I LOVED this place when I went 25 years ago. It was the one trip we went on in Elem. school that I really remember loving. So I was really excited to go with him.  My dad also got come along with us also because Trav had some important work to do.  So off we went to Safety Village on the School bus!
All smiles for his first trip in the school bus!!
Ok so the picture really doesn't show you how small this place was. It was all built to kids sizes. So imagine the houses about 10-12ft. tall give a few feet here or there.
Looking down another street. The guy standing there was probably about 6ft. or so. Looking at the building's next to him to can sort of tell how big they were.
Ok so I'm not the best person to be comparing "to scale" sort of thing, but you kind of get an idea how short and little things were.
What's a town without a Pizza Hut?
Looking down another street.
Some of the parents showing how to be "Expert Pedestrians", they were getting instructions on what they were to be doing.
Finally riding on the power wheels and testing their knowledge on how to "Stop, Look, Listen"

Wrapping up the day in front of this cool "sky"scraper.  I think Landon really had a good time! I know I did!!
