Giving Thanks

So this Thanksgiving was a great one. We have a lot to be thankful for and sometimes I take things for granted and get impatient about what is happening in my life. In the last few weeks God has richly blessed us with more things than we can imagine. So here is my list of things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving:

1. God-because without him nothing is possible, he paid the ultimate sacrifice for us and continues to bring me constant faith and blessings in my life.
2. My family-without them I would be lost. I have the best family in the world. My husband is unimaginably wonderful in so many ways. My kids are the absolute best, at times I'm not sure I have the sanity to handle things but then one of them will say something to do something and I realize that they help me retain my sanity and not take life to seriously.
3. My health
4. Employment-I am so thankful that this year Trav and I have had great jobs and are secure in them. It is such a trying time for so many people. Not only that but I am grateful that Travis not only has a job but that he was given a new position at work and it is his dream job!!! God is so good.
5. New adventures- God has given us new roads to take this year and I am so excited to start on them. Not only are we moving into a new home but God has given me a new venue to start on. It is still under raps but I am so excited about it and it's something I never thought I wanted to do. So I'll keep you posted on that journey.
6. Soldiers- we have the greatest soldiers in the world. I am so thankful for their courage and bravery to protect our freedoms. We have friends that have been and are currently serving overseas as well as friends that we have lost to war. But I am eternally grateful for their service.
7. laughter- I love laughing it makes me happy and I love hearing other people laugh and I love making people laugh!
8. Beer Thursday-ok, so I know what your thinking, really, Beer Thursday?? But yes I am thankful for them not only because I enjoy a good beer but because that is one time a week that it's just me and Travis. We eat dinner, drink a beer and watch our shows after the kids go to bed. I love it and I look forward to it.
9. my hands-weird I know, but I do everything with my hands. My job is to use my hands, I fix 3 kids lunches with my hands, I squeeze little cheeks with my hands I talk on the phone by using my hands. So I would really be lost with out them. I am so thankful that God has kept my hands healthy!
10. Christmas season-I am thankful for the Christmas season because it makes me realize how important God and family are and how much I love them. I love getting together for the holidays. It sort of centers me I guess. It reminds me of the great things I have been given in the year and the years to come.

Happy Thanksgiving!
