These are the kiddos as we left the Zoo last week. We hit the Zoo one last time before school started. It was a bittersweet day. We bought ourselves the family pass this year and we LOVED going to the Zoo. We tried to go once a week or every other week. So we would pack our lunch and head out first thing in the morning.
When we arrived they informed us that it was "Monkey Day." That was so fitting since I was bringing my little monkey's with me! We had a scavenger hunt to do while we looked around. Once we completed it we got these AwEsOmE prizes......MONKEY TATTOOS! The kids loved them. Landon actually asked if it was the kind with the needles?!? Really?? Why would we let our 7 year old get a REAL tattoo?? It was very funny!
It was of course a scorcher the day we went, so why not take a dip in the Australian Adventure's little water area.
While we visited Africa we were SOOOOO excited because we finally got to see Bill the Lion up close and personal. He normally doesn't get this close. It was cool!
We also got to see the new baby Giraffe! He is so cute!
This was in front of the big blow up Bill the Lion at the beginning of our zoo. It was a requirement for the scavenger hunt!!
We had a great summer at our Zoo and can't wait to go back!
